Obituary of Kathleen P. Hillman

Hillman, Kathleen (nee Powers) of Stewart Manor, NY died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 27, 2015. Beloved wife of the late George C. Hillman who died in 1987, and survived by her children George C. (Anne), Maryellen, James (Ellen), Kathleen Simmons (the late Bruce), Margaret Buonomo (Joseph), Virginia, and Patricia Pender (Michael). She is also survived by her loving grandchildren George Courtland (Court), Katherine, Conor, Meghan, Jennifer, Jack, Maggie, Emma, Siobhan and Erin. Kathleen was a long-time employee of Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre and volunteered at both St. Clare's Church in Rosedale and St. Ann's Church (Garden City). Visitation will be held at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, N.Y. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00 am at St Clare's RC Church, Rosedale, N.Y. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a memorial scholarship created in her behalf.
