On behalf of all of Merrill Lynch, I offer condolences for the loss and honor the memory of Harold Flecker. Undoubtedly, a parents greatest legacy can be seen in their children. Harold's son, Harold sets a fine example for his colleagues at Merrill Lynch and is an honor to his Dad's memory.

I Love you Dad!!!
You guided my vision to effectively use my God gifted eyes;
You nurtured my backbone to grow humbly strong in value and character;
You reminded me always where my feet stood as to keep me grounded in time;
Vision…Backbone…Grounded: You are and forever always be my Rock Dad!!!
Your Loving Son,
Butch [Harold R. Flecker Jr.]

So sad to hear about Mr. Flecker!
From 1971 to 1984, the Lavin Family was never anywhere but Baker Camp during the first two weeks in August and neither was the Flecker Family or the rest of "The Baker Camp Crew". And the same went for Memorial Day...Labor Day...and Columbus Day.
Where to begin with the memories and the fun?
Volleyball has to be first. No day at "Old BC" was complete without volleyball after breakfast and NOBODY played volleyball like Mr. Flecker!
Then there were the horseshoe games and softball once a week against the Staff.
And who could forget Patty trying to convince at least ONE adult to leave that night's "get-together" and show up for dinner so the kids could eat!
The All-Night "Watches"! We all rested easier knowing that no one would be stealing the lake that night.
And "Mr. Flecker" was always at the center of it all...
