I am so saddened to hear of Lorraine’s passing. I worked at the BMCHSD with her before I retired. She was one of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet. My most sincere condolences to the family & friends of such a precious, kind soul...RIP

One of my favorite photos with Lorraine because how much she loved homecoming, pep rally, and bonfire.

Lorraine and I went to high school together and church. She was my best friend in high school. We kept in touch over the years and I would see her in church when I was visiting my family in NY.
Thanks, my friend, for so many wonderful memories. Love you.

My sincere condolences to the family Poppe for the lost of your beloved Lorraine, that our God Jehovah keeps her in his memory in the day of the resurrection. Acts 24:15, and give everlasting life here on the earth in a renewed paradise Psalms 37:11,29: while we wait for these blessings in a near future that the peace of God be with the family.

Lorraine always remembered everyone’s birthday and special occasion in their life . She sent flowers to my mom on every occasion and always called her about “ the Mets”. She had a hugh heart that was always expanding throughout the generations. My son Patrick got to share his love for “the Mets “ as well. She loved her family but also was a great teacher and was fortunate enough to choose a career that she loved everyday . She was also a photographer. I was fortunate to have her be the photographer for my wedding and she would continue through the years sending pictures. She was a person who continued to connected the family even with all of us in different directors and places on our lives . She would just pick up where we let off and continue to move forward . Lorraine will always hold a special place in my heart but I know she is with my mom , dad aunt and uncle in heaven and everyone loves her.

Lorraine Poppe was a wonderful influence in my life I will always remember her with fond memories. In the 2006 Mets playoffs Ms. Poppe told me to tell my teachers I had to leave early that I had a fever (mets fever). I will always remember that.
