Obituary of Edith S. Johnson

Edith Booth Johnson died at the age of 95 on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at Highfield Garden’s Nursing Home in Great Neck, NY. She was born on December 26, 1924 in Astoria, New York and married Robert Johnson in 1945 in the Bronx. They started their life together in Astoria, were one of the first families to move in to Levittown, and spent many years in Hempstead until they moved one last time to the Knolls in East Meadow. Her loving husband Bob preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by their children Barbara Vincent (Robbie), Susan D’Elia (Frank), and Donald Johnson, as well as by her Grandchildren Bill D’Elia (Lori), Krissi Mikowicz (Michael), Kenny Fox (Chris) and Ryan Vincent, and Great Grandchildren Layla, Henry and Annabelle D’Elia. Visitation will take place at Weigand Bros. Funeral Home at 49 Hillside Ave, Williston Park on Saturday, February 29th from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM.
