Mary Morrissey was an amazing woman. Always had a kind word to say. We first met her back in 2006 when our daughter got engaged to her grandson. I asked her if it was okay to call her grandma and she was delighted. My husband and I always enjoyed being with her for any of the holidays. My husband would have conversations with her about the tv show, NCIS which they both enjoyed. We didn't get to see grandma the last couple of holidays because she really couldn't travel far anymore but she was always in our thoughts. What a blessing to have lived 102 years. God bless you Grandma. We will miss you.

Mary was pure in spirit. She was a joy. I was always immediately at ease when we spoke and I so enjoyed making her laugh with my ridiculous love of exaggeration. She was a blessing to all of us and we see her influence and nurturing in our wonderful Richard. We miss and love her always.

Mrs. Morrissey always amazed me when, after not seeing me for extended periods of time she would ALWAYS remember my name and ask how I and my Family were. She was such a sweet caring person...perhaps her greatest contribution to this life was being such a wonderful Mother to Son Richard. As parents and grandparent this is what we all strive for and this will be her legacy. Rest In Peace Mrs. Morrissey. Bob and Ann

I met Mary Morrissey as a boy around the time Rich and Sue got married, so there are a lot of years there. But the memory I will hold on to will be from family holiday gatherings in the past 15 years or so, where a boatload of desserts inevitably led to word games played around the dining room table. There I learned how a woman in her late 80s and 90s could smoke challengers, sixty years her junior, and modestly take a bit of delight in that.
RIP, Mrs. M. you did it right.

The last time we saw Mrs. Morrissey was about 10 years ago and she was still driving and bowling. She was indefatigable. She and Mr. Morrissey were just the kindest and sweetest couple ever. They were made for each other. On a dogeared, smudged piece of yellow paper we have her famous recipe for spaghetti bolognese. It never fails. May she Rest In Peace.

Mrs. Morrissey was pretty amazing. I have her meat sauce recipe...she knitted a blanket for my son Patrick , when he was christened. I plan to use it when Patrick has his first born.
She was always upbeat and engaging. But most importantly She LIVED life.
She raised an equally amazing son,Richard. And shared her light with his family, Susan Christopher Vicky and the twins
How lucky are you all
How lucky am I to have known her
You are in my thoughts and prayers

Loved Marys cheesecake pie and sweet potatoes. Even with her recipes I cannot replicate--must be the extra love she added.
I always admired how she kept up with tech, playing scrabble online. How lucky everyone was to have her for so long. Rest in peace, knowing the hearts you touched. Karen and Steve Hirdt

So sorry for your loss. The last of a great generation. Will always remember her laughing at a family gathering. A truly nice person.
