It was my pleasure to sit next to Walter at the St Aidan's prayer group. He will be missed. He is in our prayers and hopefully he will put in a good word for us when his many rosaries, faith and good works allows him to see Jesus face to face.

What an honor it has been to know Walter for many years through the St. Aidan 9:00 Mass and the Men’s Prayer Group. Always kind and humorous he had so many stories to tell. I am so happy he is reunited with his beloved wife Anna. His family should be comforted in knowing he was so loved by our Lord through so many people.

I first met Walter in 2013 leaving the 9:00 AM mass at Saint Aidan’s church. We started chatting and as we were leaving he asked me if I would like to go for a cup of coffee. During the next seven years or so after the 9:00 AM mass we would go for coffee 2-3 times a week. It was these shared coffee moments that I really got to know this wonderful friend of mine with the unique polish accent. Walter was a kind, loving and generous man to everyone who had the pleasure of his company. He told me many stories about his early life in Poland. He faced many challenges there and rose up to all of them. He told me that he always wanted to get back to the United States where he was born to provide a better life for his family. I always told Walter that he could write a book about his life and it would be a best seller. Walter was very devoted to the Blessed Mother and the rosary was a special devotion to him in his daily life. If someone was going through a tough time Walter would say a rosary for them. Some days he would pray the rosary 8 or more times a day. Walter loved Saint Aidan’s church. He rarely missed daily mass. On the worst days of winter he might be one of five people in attendance at the 9:00 AM mass. He was a devoted catholic who never hesitated to share his faith to everyone around him. Walter’s trademark was his handshake. It was always offered to everyone with a big smile. I can see Walter as he enters the gates of heaven offering Saint Peter his hand with his big smile.
Enjoy heaven my dear friend you will be missed

We used to live a few houses away and, although we moved to another street, he always greeted us and had a question or story to tell. We have fond memories of him and your mother walking to the churches where they created and maintained beautiful gardens. We will miss him. Good bless.

I extend condolences to the Stachurski family on the passing of their wonderful father, Walter. He will continue to be remembered in my prayers.
As a neighbor, friend as well as a parishioner of St. Aidan’s, I saw how welcomingly, cheerfully, enthusiastically, and lovingly Walter interacted with everyone with whom he came in contact. He had a kind heart and was eager to lend a helping hand. He was a special man, will be greatly missed, and I’m hoping that everyone joins me in thanking God for Walter.
