She will always be 'Mrs' Frezza to her students. She made us feel she was more like family to us. We kept in touch over the years. This photo is from 1986 when I got married. She was such a great teacher and a great lady! She will be missed.

My heart was touched when I read of Yiota's demise. We shared a membership in the North Shore AAUW and many a bridge game in her beautiful Carle Place home back in the late 1990's and early 21st. century.
Her culinary tastes and skills, her bright mind and her love of family were notable.
She was/is treasured.

Anyone who was in her class knows how blessed we were. The crème de la crème!
After your angelic work here on earth, may you now rest in eternal peace. Sending deepest condolences to the family.

Condolences to the family. Mrs. Frezza was my favorite teacher. She always took time to listen and show she cared. Her style kept you interested and engaged. The love she had for the humanities is something she shared with her students and I will have that with me forever.

A few selected undated photos from Mom's teaching days. Perhaps if some of her old students stumble on these they can identify them. Her classroom style could best be described as magical controlled chaos, totally hands-on and imbued with an infections joy of learning.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was my 6th grade science teacher, and I am one of the students in the photos from the field trip to the beach 45 yrs ago. I have never forgotten that trip, nor the classes when we reconstructed the turkey skeleton, or so many other lessons she taught me. She was an amazing teacher. She ignited that love of science in me, and I have always credited her for my decision to pursue a career in the science field. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Before Mom was a teacher, she was a chemist at Pfizer. Here she is at her first job out of college in 1952 with her BS degree in Chemistry from Hunter College.

Here's how I'd like people to remember Mom. 80 years old, dancing up a storm when, at 55 years old, I remarried.

Wonderful teacher and had such a positive impact on so many lives. I’ve always felt a certain sense of family with my classmates that I haven’t seen in 40 years and now reading some of these comments make me realize the “family” was even bigger than that. Thank You Mrs Frezza ❤️

Such a wonderful teacher. Mrs. Frezza gave me a lifelong love of art, science and music. She was such a positive influence in my life. I hope the opera is wonderful in heaven.
