Rick Divuittono posted a condolence
Thursday, October 14, 2021
My name is Ricci Divuittono, let me start by sending my condolenses to the Arcese family. As a kid I lived one block away from John I am 10 years younger than John he was a large influence on me as a child.I have the fondest memories of John with his cars and bikes driving up Foothill and Dunton ave where I lived. He was always a cool guy, I played stick ball in the street with his brother Larry and Anthony Altobelli but lost touch when I moved to Long Island. I wished I had reached out sooner via facebook.I do not know what made me search John and Larry today but I did and I am sad to hear of his passing. The fondest memories live on in my memory and I will share them with my family.
Sincerely
Rick D.

I am sorry to hear that Johnny passed away. I am sure that his family must still be in shock. I have fond memories of John working at the auto parts store around the corner from his house. John would give me a ride home from work whenever he picked up his girlfriend at the time. His cars were always well cared for and his stereo system was the best. Although we move away and loose contact with people who we grew up with they are never forgotten.
I have good memories of his family including his cousins from 202St in Hollis. I worked with his mom and aunt at Sunnys Restaurant on Hillside Ave where Four and Twenty Pies was located. RIP Johnny Brian Loftman.

I'm Anthony Altobelli I grow up on the same block with John, his siblings, especially Larry. My childhood memory of Johnny is playing stick ball, and scully in the street. And watching Johnny and my brother Richie be so competitive. My brother Steve would like to share a memory as well. Which is delivering the Long Island Press. My brother Steve talked about this one blizzard in the mid 70's where Johnny and Steve were pushing a shopping cart in the middle of Jamaica Ave. Where a newspaper reporter took a picture of them together which was in the paper the following day. Our deepest condolences to the entire Arcese family. From Steve and Anthony Altobelli.
