Dearest Jia, You shared your happy smile, your beauty, your warmth, your brilliance, your talent, and your kindness with everyone fortunate enough to know you. We watched with admiration as you grew from a sweet, darling baby to a caring, radiant, extraordinary young lady. My early memories' of Jia were as a Little Tot running around in the back yard at picnics at Chris and Christine's she captured my heart then and every time I got to meet her since. Liz and I are Very Sad to hear of Jia's passing. Ron & Liz.

Jia was truly a light in Mineola. My son and I first met her in kindergarten. I can honestly say she helped shape, in such a positive way, our first experience in the Mineola district. All these years she has always been full of smiles, kindness, and talent. She has a special place in so many of our hearts. Her Mom (and Dad) also left a lasting impression on me since day one as such a wonderful person. Her amazing spirit must live on in all who knew her, as we try to pay forward the joy she brought to our community. Dear Jia A beautiful spirit such as yours cannot possibly be gone. The colors of the rainbow sky after a storm, the smiling flowers of a spring bloom, the first soft flakes of snow in the cold, the outstretched hand of a neighbor, the kindness of a stranger in town in all our seasons, and all the ways we show care for one another must surely keep you with us. So as you look down on all of us from another place, I hope you see the light we promise to keep so very bright all because of you.

Jia, At our first meeting at your first viola lesson, I thought this is the sweetest student I've ever had, but oh boy, this will be a challenge. Was I wrong! Your enthusiasm and persistence soon led you to be an exceptional musician, and you played with a musician's soul. I watched you grow, and I struggled to keep 2 steps ahead of you. Pretty soon, you passed me by! When you came in with a ukelele, I wasn't at all surprised that you took on another challenge, but was stunned that you mastered it in a week! Then the marimba. The marching band was so lucky to have you. I love you dearly and will miss you with all my heart. The world just lost it's brightest light. Love, Jenny
