I went to school with Sheri, both elementary and high school. I ran into her in her in the Ladies Room at our H.S. Reunion. WE had a long and great chat. I had told myself I should get in touch with her but now I am very sorry I never did. She was such a very nice person, so sweet. It is really sad that she is gone.

I am saddened by the passing of Cheri. I was in Florida when my sister Jo, got the call. We knew she was very ill but the news was jolting just, the same. Cheri was always kind to me and my grand kids. I will do my part in keeping her memory alive by sharing stories of her kindness and generosity with my kids. May she rest in peace sincere condolences to her love ones.

Cheri was a good person and one of the kindest woman I ever had the pleasure to know and call my dear friend. We first met when Cheri returned to the workforce and immediately it became obvious that Cheri and I would form a friendship that would last forever. I loved Cheri and will miss her tremendously. I think Cheri and I were the best shopping partners there ever was. Cheri and I would shop often and for hours at a time. We both enjoyed craft fairs and would go to almost every craft fair we could find on Long Island before I moved to Florida. I have never met another “shopper” as compatible as Cheri and I. Cheri was well known and well liked by my family. She was treated as family herself and attended all our major celebrations. Even though I moved away, Cheri and I still maintained our close friendship. We spoke often and even though Cheri was going through her horrific health problems, she always offered support to me to try to comfort me through the toughest times of my life, including the recent passing of my husband.
Cheri, I love you and will always remember you. I miss you. Rest In Peace my friend.

I was so saddened to hear of Cheri's passing. We were classmates at H. Frank Carey High School, Class of 1968. I will always remember her kindness but most of all her beautiful smile when we attended our high school reunions, especially our 50th in 2018. Social media allowed us the opportunity to keep in touch. She spoke often of her children but her grandchildren were her world. Embrace how she lived and she will shine on within you always.

I’m so sorry to hear of Cheri passing. I lived across the street on Euston Rd and played with Cathy. I was a very frequent visitor at the Vocke home. Cheri and Cynthia were always so kind and welcoming to me during my growing up years. I have very vivid memories of all of you. Cheri going off to college was especially noteworthy because I was so young and didn’t know of any young girl going off to college! I thought That was very special. The video tribute is just that, special. Just like Cheri.

I was extremely saddened to learn of Cheri’s death. She was a wonderful part of all the years of my college experience. Such a good sense of humor and a wonderful laugh! I’ll always remember her and Kathy singing together around our suite and the campus......they had quickly discovered that they both were in chorus in high school! Those were fun times! I’m so glad we all reconnected in these past 2 years! I always looked forward to our Zoom meetings. Cheri, I love you and miss you! My condolences to your daughters, sisters and the rest of your family. Peace!

I have so many wonderful memories of your mom, who was my roommate at SUNY Albany for two years. Her ready laugh and beautiful smile made my first time away from home a great experience. Always curious and ready to learn new things, she enrolled in what must have been one of the first computer science classes at SUNY. I remember walking with her to the computer center with a box of hundreds of punch cards to load into a computer that filled an entire wall from floor to ceiling. We never could have imagined that more than fifty years later, we would be meeting with our other roomies via ZOOM on our phones or iPads. In these recent “get togethers,” she never failed to mention how proud she was of her daughters and their families and how much she appreciated your love and care during her illness. She loved you all so much! Please know that I am thinking of you all at this very sad time. Evie Donohue
