Cortina Family: Dear Carmela, Luisa, Cathy, Joanna, and families by chance we have just learned that our dear "COMPARE" has passed away nearly 4 months ago. We are all shocked and saddened by this news. We are so sorry for your loss and we share your pain. Whenever we think of Compare Frank we think of his incredible generosity, his bigger than life personlality, his great sense of humour, and his natural ability to help, encourage and inspire those who were willing and ready to listen and learn. We will miss him dearly.

I know Frank for 37 years. He is a great fellow with a great sense of humor. His conversations were either a tennis tip, a lesson about life, a joke, or all of the above. He will surely be missed. May the fond memories lives on in your hearts. My sincere condolences to his family.

We met frank at the us open when Kerry was 12 years old, he taught her tennis and instilled great values, including the importance of family values. His presence was larger than life, his kindness and generosity immeasurable. When Kerry lost her dad in a tragic car accident a few years ago, frank always cared and was there for her. We have so many wonderful memories. We will always make you proud frank and carry on your kindness to others. God speed and God bless, Steve will be waiting for you in heaven for a tennis match.
We love you frank and are so glad you were in our lives. Love to the whole Ferrante family.

Frank was a great competitor. I enjoyed our battles on the court. He would always ask to play with my wife. He had a windmill forehand that was tough. But he was also a generous an gracious teacher on the court. He will be missed greatly. To his family, my sincere condolence for your loss.

You would always know if Frank was in the room or on the tennis court. Some would complain about his loud voice, but now his silence is more deafening. Thank you for being our friend.

Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to you all. Frank (never Mr. Ferrante!) was always larger than life and I will always remember his "Frankisms," as well as his valuable life lessons. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. That is the best legacy anyone can have.

I just received a telephone call from Joanna and spoke to Franks Grand Daughter Jennifer, she informed me that Frank passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer. He fought cancer exactly like he played tennis and his business, HARD ! He was one to never give up, like a bull dog. Everything was for His Family, for sure he will be missed.........I know I shall miss speaking to him long distance, always wanting to know all about my children and grand children, as he told us about his family. It was all about family when it came to Frank. Now he is with the angles in Heaven......Frank was a GIANT to his family, and of course to all of his friends, and persons in the construction business throughout New York. Whenever possible he always tried to make us laugh, a very generous and loving man. I shall miss him. Frank, Rest In Peace My Friend until we meet again.
Love to the family.
