Obituary of Jeffrey C. Kjellgren

Jeffrey "Jeff" Kjellgren of Westbury, NY was called home on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 in the afternoon, peacefully and surrounded by his beloved children. Jeff lived fully and intentionally for all of his 66 years, developing and maintaining a vast network of friendships across the country. He was a talented self-taught musician-- a gift which he used to spread joy and light to anyone with whom he crossed paths. He was the glue for so many gatherings-- the Jones Beach Bums, open mics, the 'Y' man at the Gathering, and any and every reason to bring family together. His ability to bring people together will be impossible to replace, and we are so lucky to have shared time on this earth with him.

Jeff was a collector, a documentarian, and had a unique view of the world. He has left us countless photographs of his travels, his family, his friendships, and anything he found to be funny, poignant, or reminiscent of someone he cared about. These artifacts are a gift we can all enjoy and take comfort in-- a life well lived, time never taken for granted. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to bring your favorite photo of him to share with everyone he so deeply loved.

He will be terribly missed forever, and is survived by his two daughters Alyssa and Joy, two step-children Heather and Steven, four grandchildren Cameron, Travis, Erik, Jaron, two sisters Jennifer and Susan, and his step-mother Joyce.
