Obituary of Charles V. Karen
On July 7, 2022, Charles Vincent Karen passed away at the age of 79, after battling a long illness. He was a beloved husband of 58 years, father, brother and father-in-law; but was best known as Pop to his grandchildren. He has been received by his parents and son, Chucky, with open arms.
Charles served in the Army National Guard, was a police officer, and owned his own private investigation business. After retiring, he could often be found enjoying some TV show from his favorite recliner alongside his wife and many pets. He loved spending time with his family especially when it meant watching his grandkids play sports, sending them off to prom, and celebrating birthdays and graduations.
Charles loved to tinker with everything, trying to understand how things worked. He loved to challenge himself and will be remembered for his innate ability to understand technology. He was our go to with computer questions and even built a few himself. Charles loved taking and sharing pictures. He never walked by a flower without taking a picture first. He had the patience people only dreamed of having. He loved joking around and never missed an opportunity to make people smile. Charles was the sweetest, most kindhearted soul and will be sorely missed.
This isn’t goodbye, this is change. You are energy and are part of everything now. Don’t be afraid, we are here… always. We love you. Rest In Peace.
