Obituary of John R. Asam

John R Asam Sr.  of Mineola , NY passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023 at the age of 83.  John was born on January 31,1940 in Glendale,NY to Sophie and John.  He graduated from East New York Vocational and Technical High School Brooklyn in 1958. John worked as a mechanical engineer for NCR ( National Cash Register) for 38 years.  When John was just a teenager he met the love of his life Arlene. They got married on Jan 19, 1962. John grew up in Glendale on 64th lane. His childhood home meant very much to him which he was able to share with his wife Arlene as they started their live together before later moving to their forever home in Mineola. Arlene predeceased John in 2014. John leaves behind two sons John (Kathy) and Chris (Julie) as well as five grandchildren Kaitlin, John, Samantha, C.J. and Emily. He also leaves behind many cherished friends and family especially Kathy, George and Erin. We know that John is in Heaven now with the love of his life Arlene and the rest of his family who he missed so much.
