Obituary of Kathleen A. Gruppe

Kathleen Ann Gruppe, 70, of Williston Park, was taken to heaven on May 11, 2023. She was born on July 8, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Catherine. Kathleen graduated from Christ the King High School in 1970. Not many years later she met the love of her life, her rock and best friend, George. They have been happily married for over 49 wonderful years. Together they were blessed with a loving daughter, Colleen and a beautiful granddaughter, Erin, whom Kathleen absolutely adored.

Kathleen is predeceased in death by her parents George and Catherine, and her two brothers Thomas(Karen) and George(Reyna). Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, George, her daughter Colleen, granddaughter Erin, sister Cecelia(Nick), nephews James(Kathy), Michael and Patrick, nieces Maureen(Frank) and Megan, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Kathleen always had a smile on her face and she found joy with being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed puttering around her house, cooking for her family and making her house a welcoming home to all. Kathleen especially loved watching Colleen dance when she was younger and watching all of Erin’s sporting events and celebrating all of her milestones with everyone in the family. Kathleen especially loved playing with her playmate and best friend, her great-nephew, Carter. Everyone who knew her loved her. She had a heart of gold and was accepting of all. She was an angel on earth to everyone. Kathleen will be missed beyond words.
