Obituary of Arthur Ward Toohig Jr.

Arthur Ward Toohig Jr. March 9, 1943-May 26, 2023 Loving husband of Marge for 56 years. Former resident of East Williston N.Y. Current resident of East Marion N.Y. Father of Greg (Teresa) and Scott (Megan). Best “papa” to Michael, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Liam, Avery and Cole. Loving brother of Patrice and Martha. Predeceased by brothers Robert and Rutherford and parents, Arthur who departed at 57 years of age and Martha who lived to 100 years of age. Artie served in the United States Army as Specialist First Class in Vietnam 1965-66. Former Senior Vice President, of Human Resources at the Roslyn Savings Bank for 25 years. Active participant in various banking organizations. Served as Treasurer on the Board of the Cleaves Point condominiums for the past 6 years. Active participation, including the presidency of the Williston Park Little League. Artie was recently an avid golfer and boater. Viewing at the Weigand Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Avenue Williston Park, N.Y. on Tuesday May 30th from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday May 31st from 2:00-4:00PM. No evening hours. Mass of the Christian Burial at Saint Aidan’s RC Church, 505 Willis Avenue Williston Park N.Y. on Thursday June 1st at 10:00 AM. Interment immediately following at Calverton National Cemetery 210 Princeton Blvd. Calverton NY.
