Grace M. Klvana, 93, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2023, at home in Albertson, NY. She was born into a close-knit Italian family in Flushing, NY, the daughter of the late Ferninando and Eleanora (Palumbo) Redavid.

Grace lived for 64 years in Williston Park where she raised her family with her beloved husband, the late Aldrich “Bill” Klvana. She loved Saint Aidan’s Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. She was a talented homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting, and traveling with Bill. She began her working life as an executive secretary at NYU, and later returned to work in the Herricks and Mineola school districts. She was active in her community and participated in many clubs and organizations including the American Legion Auxiliary, Williston Seniors, and Homemakers among others. She was particularly proud of her bowling
prowess.

Grace is survived by her four daughters: Elizabeth (Robert Salerni), Lenore (Jeff Fischman),
Kathryn (Paul Falcon), and Grace (Tom Trimmer). She was the last of her siblings to pass, preceded by Katherine “Kitty,” John, Nick, Bill, Maria, Martha, Josephine and Rose. She was the beloved grandmother of Lora Salerni, Cara (Brett Sikora) and Niki Fischman, Katie and Billy Trimmer and Jack Higham and great grandmother of Mack and Isla Sikora.

Visitation will be at the Weigand Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am, Monday, August 7, 2023, at St. Aidan’s Church, in Williston Park. Burial will be at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery, in Flushing, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or to the American Heart Association. And if you’re so inclined, in Mom’s honor. treat yourself to a “scratch off lottery ticket,” one of her favorite indulgences.
