Obituary of Susan M. Lorusso

Susan M. Lorusso, 80, of Mineola, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023

Susan is predeceased by her loving husband, Philip and her oldest grandson, Kristofer.  She is survived by her children, Lisa (Mark), Linda, Lori and Philip and her grandchildren, Kelly, Nick, Casey, Alex, Amanda, Lauren, Victoria and Drew. Also her brother, Kenny (Jeannie) and sister-in-law, Annette (John).

Susan was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She moved around as a child but she and Phil married in 1962 and settled in Mineola.  After many years as a stay-at-home mom, Susan joined the workforce as a travel agent. She loved family gatherings and entertaining.  Everyone felt welcome in the Lorusso home.  Susan's love of shopping and slots was only surpassed by her love of family.  Susan's sense of humor and passion for life will be remembered.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, August 26 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Aidan's church. Interment to follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
