Obituary of Thomas N. Tronolone
With great sadness, I must tell friends and family that my brother, Thomas Nicholas Tronolone passed from this life in early December 2023.
Tom was born April 13, 1967 to William and Patricia Tronolone at North Shore Hospital. He was a delightful boy, full of wonder and joy during his childhood. He gave me the most incredible happiness in a difficult time. I never thought of him without gratitude for everything he was. I never will.
Tom was a kind, funny as heck with a quick wit and voracious appetite to learn and read everything by the time he was 3 yrs. old. He graduated Chaminade High School, with Honors and 27 College Credits. Graduated St. Johns University in three short years and went on to NY Law School, with a Juris Doctorate. He became a successful compliance officer in many high profile companies.
Tom achieved much in a short time. All whilst battling PTSD and illness. And being shunned for his choice of who to love, or how. That is a tragedy we can correct, can't we?
He triumphed, he failed at times. But who are we to judge?
In spite of this, he gave SO much to so many. Myself included. How did he give to you? The LOVE is greater than any struggle. We know that.
A memorial of his life is to be Saturday, April 13th at 2pm, Episcopal Church of St. Paul, Glen Cove NY. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Food Pantry at St. Pauls in Glen Cove, the North Shore Animal League, both dear to Thomas.
Thomas's most recent "work family" at the Dept. of Financial Services, Lead Administrators, Kaitlin Arrow, Erik Peretta and their beautiful colleagues gave Tom a place to shine. Heartfelt thanks for your exquisite remembrances to all. He truly loved his work, and colleagues.
Thomas is survived by myself, Catherine Biordi Bassett, (Daniel),My adored angels, Jess and Jace. Sister, Eileen Coles, Uncle to Olivia Dena (Andrew) and Roman, Emma Rose Biordi, Sara Biordi, Cousins , Carolyn Mc Carthy, Susan Davies and their families, and dear Uncle Joseph and Aunt Carmen Tronolone.
Dominick,Bill and Jim. The best brothers from another mother. And Johanna Feigman and family, whom are my heart. My CT family and friends, no words to thank you for lifting us up in spirit and friendship. There is NO place like home.
And my husband, Daniel, who fostered the love Tom and I had for each other, because Daniel has the most amazing bravery and heart. My last hug with Thomas was because of you. A precious gift of love.
"Love is love" and you are a Child of God.
