The worst feeling to have is to know a dear friend is gone and there were so many words never said. To all of us that remain, I say tell the one's you love that you love them and stand with them... Not just on their worst day but with them every day. We all need support and we all deserve love. Rest in peace my dear friend...til we meet again and say "I love you "
My thoughts and prayers are with you Marilyn... as I said today "You and your son will always be in my heart"

Bob went thru Recruit School with my brother, Vinny (RIP) back in 1981 and remained friends thru their post-NYPD life. I remember my brother telling me that Bob was a great guy and super smart. I have known Bob over 30 years. He was my boss in Transit District 12 and the Academy at 300 Gold Street, Brooklyn. He was a great boss, a mentor to me, a great friend, one of the smartest people I ever met on the job, and he had a great sense of humor. He possessed such insight and wisdom. And then put that insight and wisdom into his writing. I was lucky to know him.

I worked for Bob for several years. Going to work at 300 Gold St was a pleasure knowing I would be spending the day working for a true gentleman.

Lety and I offer our deepest condolences to the Jestic family during this difficult time. Bob and I met in 1982 and remained close friends since. I only wish I had a dollar for every laugh we shared over the years. We will miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again.
