My condolences to Billy’s family. I met him through the New Hyde Park Players. We used to jam during breaks in rehearsals. He taught me how to bend notes on the harmonica. Rest in peace, Billy.

Billy Jaye was truly one of a kind in so many ways. I am grateful for the gift of his friendship, humor, kindness, laughter and guidance when I needed legal advice for small things that have come up throughout the years. I met Billy through my cousin Richie Minervini and am grateful that our paths crossed all those years ago. I know he loved Barbara and their three amazing daughters with all his heart. I’ll never forget their girls singing the National Anthem prior to the annual Comedy Show at Westbury Music Fair for a few years. Please know the love and prayers of all of my family are with the Jaye family - his beloved Mom and brothers, too. Our hearts go out to each of you. Bill was a good man who will be missed and remembered by so many people. May his memory remain a blessing and his stories told forever.

I grew up living next door to my cousin, Bill. We shared so much time together as a family. Our Christmas Eves were very special, with good food & family fun.. Bill was one of a kind with his jokes, happy birthday wishes & supportive texts. His talent to entertain will always be memorable . Over the years we have always stayed in touch and for that I am grateful., I will miss you.

My condolences to Barbra and his three daughters. Billy was my brother Kevin's best friend in high school. Later, they played together with Sonny Terri at My Father's Place in Roslyn. He was a real stand up guy. He'll be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I'm shocked and filled with sadness to learn of Bill's passing. While we didn't see each other very much we shared lots of fond memories when we were both in our 20's performing and working to bring theatre to our local communities. We'd run into each other on the LIRR from time to time and picked up like it was yesterday. My heart is with Mimi and his brothers, Barbara and his girls. Each time we ran into each other he would beam with pride about each of them and share stories of their adventures, successes and life pursuits. The light in our world is a little dimmer today having lost this beautiful soul and his beautiful smile. Your memory will bless us all forever. Rest easy friend.

Bill always had a really bad joke to tell me and it always made my day. He was always there to cover a case, share a memory or say a kind word to make you feel better. I have a client who is a wholesale florist and a few times I would deliver flowers to his wife on his anniversary for him. She probably had no idea I was his friend and not just the flower delivery guy and I knew he would find that funny. I also remember one year that we met in Disney when the 2 families just happened to be vacationing there at the same time. I know Barbara was not doing well at the time and neither was my wife. Bill was his usual charming self and made my whole family feel special. We watched the Disney Fireworks together at Epcot. I lost my wife later that year and that trip to Disney was one of our last great vacation memories together. Meeting Bill out of the blue and having him be so warm and welcoming made it all the more special. We will all miss you Bill. You were one of a kind. Dan

So saddened about this loss. Bill was one of a kind. When I was a prosecutor in Atlantic Beach, he represented defendants. When he was a prosecutor…everywhere else…I represented defendants. From
There we became friends and tennis partners. When he had a stroke, I thought his tennis days were over. I was thrilled to be wrong as he came back strong.
Bill could make you laugh even with really bad jokes mixed in with a few good ones. He was a devoted family man who had incredible love for his wife and daughters. I miss him already.

I can't wrap my head around it. His laughter, I keep hearing his laugh. College, law school, he was always a ball of joyous energy. We did some antiquing back then and I bought my curved glass china cabinet from him while we were still students. We laughed again when he and Barbara came over and he realized I still had it. He played a mean blues harmonica, and he always brought his smile into the room. God, he loved his family. He was always so proud. Bill was one of those friends where I could pick up the phone and it would be like I just saw him yesterday. The years would fall away. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed by all of us. Rest in peace, Billy. I am blessed to have known you.

I have not stopped crying.I loved my best friend and life now has an empty spot that will never and can never be filled with a friendship like we had. We recently FaceTimed and I sang him a Bill original song and he laughed out loud and told me he missed me. I told him I missed him and being his personal google and he laughed again. It helps a little, but not much.
