July 10, 1964 to August 11, 2024

Scott Frederick Betz of Middle Village, Queens, aged 60, passed away on August 11, 2024, at NYU Langone in Mineola. He was surrounded by his loving and supportive family. He was a hardworking, caring, dedicated, and devoted son, brother, and uncle. He always lived life to the fullest. He was a staunch Republican with a bullhorn of a mouth who made his views very well known if you wanted to hear them or not because he couldn’t hear you anyway. Scooter was a stand-up comedian in his own right and a butcher to the stars. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Betz; father, Henry Betz; his sister, Kathy Betz-Behette; brother-in-law, Joseph Behette; and his niece, Gabrielle Behette. His wake will be at Weigand Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY 11596, on Thursday August 15^th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Aidan Church, 505 Willis Ave., Williston Park, NY 11596, on Friday August 16^th at 11:30 am.  He will be missed by all.
