My first memory of Mrs. D’Elia was over 30 years ago at a Christmas party hosted by her and husband, Frank for the staff of WABC Radio and assorted friends. I will never forget her warm, gracious demeanor. Every inch the lady, she nevertheless joked and partied with the gang, our age differences of no import. Though I saw her only rarely in subsequent years, her traveling and singing exploits, as narrated by her son, Frank III, were a constant amazement – she truly lived life to the fullest and even in her passing serves as a continuing inspiration to all who knew her.
