We are so sorry that we just learned of his passing yesterday, 4/24. My dad had been calling his cell phone and was not getting a response. We looked for him on Easter and located a neighbor of his in Valley Stream who told us he had passed. He would come to his old block in Lynbrook, a block away from his old house on Pearsall every Saturday morning and sit with my dad and the neighbor across the street. Sometimes he would help do a little yard work. They liked to go to the candy store and play the lottery. John will surely be missed.
