Bassmann, Johann F. (Hans) of Westbury, NY on May 25, 2011. Beloved husband of Marianne. Devoted father of Thomas (Laura), Barbara Woodall (Earnest) and Susanne Bassmann McDonald (Kevin). Loving grandfather of Christopher, Emilie, James, Kurtis, Jared, Katherine and Sean. Dear brother of Elfriede, Else, Reta, Rosl, Marie and the late Marianne. Dearest uncle of Liane (Greg), Bernice and Clarence Jr. (Donna). Also survived by many other extended family members here and in Germany. Visitation Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY. Eastern Star and Masonic service Friday Evening. Funeral service Saturday 10am at The Life Christian Church, 1 Old Westbury Rd, Old Westbury, NY. Cremation to follow at Fresh Pond Crematory.
