This Christmas will be the first for Donna and George to not have your parents, and I am saying prayers for you and your families.
Your parents are part of so many memories for me and my family, but especially at Christmas. I could hear Mary’s voice before she got to our door, her laugh, her smile, and the plates of her home baked cookies in her hands. Christmas for me and my mom was not Christmas without this element!
I am in my kitchen in London right now, trying to replicate the linzer Jam cookie that Mary used to make. Sometimes my mom and I tried to make them together and my mom would always say, “well they are good, but not as good as Mary’s”.
Merry Christmas, Donna and George! Your parents were wonderful and they are missed by all.
