Obituary of Maria Smith

Known to most as Mary, Maria Smith passed quietly on April 9, 2020. Daughter to Maria and Dominick Racanelli. Beloved wife of 63 years to John Smith. Mother to George, Dominic and Donna. Sister to Joseph, Josephine and Constantine. Mother in law to Jennifer Smith and Cynthia Drivas. Grandmother to Jeff, Rachel (Matt) and Michael. Maria enjoyed her time with her family. She was one of the dynamic three. Herself, Josephine and Anne made sure everyone had a holiday to remember, which often included many smiles and some tears. She was a loyal friend to most in Williston Park, especially Kathy. Memories of attending Good Friday mass with her brother seem fitting during this Holy week. She had a watchful eye on her by her niece Diane, who provided great comfort to her and the Smith family. Her finger pointing, robust laugh and meatballs will be greatly missed.
