Obituary of Michael T. Curley
On April 26, 1940 Mike was born to Michael J. Curley and Eileen Smith. Mike
was raised on Post Avenue in Manhattan together with his sister Eileen and brother John. He attended Good Shepherd School and Bedford Park Academy. He later enrolled at NYU and graduated from Adelphi University. Mike was active in the National Guard.
In 1962 he married Rosalie Arnold and later produced three children: Kelly
(Danny Melore), Michael (Donna Maresca) and Allison. He was also blessed with
four beautiful grandchildren: Erica, Kacie, Daniel and Kara. Mike spent his life
on Wall Street which included The New York Stock Exchange, Citibank, Hartford
Trust Company of New York, F. I. DuPont & Company and State Street Boston
Securities Services Corp.

Mike was the Grand Exalted Ruler at the Queensborough Elks Club Lodge #878
and also served on the Board of Trustees.
Mike was also a life member of the Corpus Christi Knights of Columbus Council
#2502. He was proud American who displayed his flag outside his home every
day of the year.
Mike loved travel and visited almost every major capital of the world.
Together with his good friend Stan Blacker, they owned and operated The Purple
Foot, one of the first wine and cheese restaurants in New York.
Mike recently became a resident of Williston Park. And was delighted to spend the
last few years near his family.
